Volunteering
Volunteering at HRPA is a rewarding membership experience and volunteers are critical to the association’s continued success.
With the expertise and involvement of members, we create awareness of workplace issues, promote excellence in human resources management practices and provide services that support the HR community, knowledge-sharing and continuous professional development.

About Leadership

Lauren Manna, CHRP, CHRL
Chapter Chair
Lauren has been a member of the HRPA since 2012, obtaining her CHRP in 2015 and her CHRL in 2017. She started her involvement with the HRPLD joining the Mentorship Committee and Programs Committee in 2013.
Professionally, she has worked in the HR community for almost 10 years, most of her time spent in the manufacturing industry until most recently where she is currently the HR Manager with a local training and consulting company.

Vanessa Newcombe, CHRP, CHRL
Past Chair
In the past 20 years, Vanessa has gained a breadth of Human Resources experience in a variety of roles and industries, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Health Care, and Professional Services where for the past several years she has worked in Learning and Development.
She joined the Guelph Chapter in 2000, and after moving to London joined our London & District Chapter in 2015 (when she also earned her Certified Human Resources Leader designation). She credits finding a job with her current employer to a connection she made at her first Chapter meeting here, and decided to give back by volunteering as a member of the Communications Committee which progressed into the role of Chair for that committee in 2018. She served the Chapter as Chair Elect for the 2020/21 season and is looking forward to what the next few years bring as HRPA London & District Chapter Chair!

Amanda Veitch CHRP, CHRL
Chapter Secretary / Treasurer
The majority of Amanda’s HR career has been working with local manufacturing companies bringing extensive knowledge in both HR and Health and Safety practices. She has since then become the President and Owner of HRP4B; an HR consulting, coaching and training firm servicing SW Ontario. Amanda has a passion for working with small and medium sized businesses looking to build a strong HR foundation and create engaged, motivated and cohesive teams. She believes that culture starts from the top, and with a strong, aligned leadership team, businesses will be on the right path to achieve their goals and potential.
Amanda obtained an Undergraduate Degree at Western University and Graduate Certificates in Human Resources Management and Occupational Health and Safety from Fanshawe College. Amanda received her CHRL designation and sits on the Board of Directors with the London and District Human Resources Professional Association Chapter. Amanda is also a part-time professor at Fanshawe College where she enjoys working with HR students.

Sarah Ryckman, CHRP, CHRL
Chair, Chapter Programs
Sarah has been an active HRPA London and District Chapter member since 2016. As the current Programs Chair, and with the return to in person events, she enjoys organizing the speakers and food for events. She is a very big foodie and takes pride in finding topics that will be interesting to everyone in our chapter. Previously she volunteered with the Student Liaison committee as their chair for 2.5 years and a committee volunteer for 2.5 years. Currently she holds the Social Engagement Committee Vice Chair position at Sunningdale Golf course planning events to get members more involved at the club. She has spent 5 years as a Mentor with the HRPA and is always willing to help students understand the designation process as she was recently granted her CHRL.
Sarah is a member of the Program Advisory committees for both the Human Resources and Law Clerk programs at Fanshawe. As a Human Resources Manager for a local Business Consulting company, Sarah takes pride in being a progressive human resources professional who has a strong focus to attract and retain the best talent. Sarah recently earned her Master of Human Resource Management degree from York University. She also has an Undergraduate Degree in Bachelor of the Arts from Guelph University and an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Fanshawe College.

Indu Radhakrishnan
Chair, Chapter Communications
An accomplished Human Resources Leader with over 14 years of expertise in building engaged workplaces. Currently, working as the Chief HR Officer at Autism Ontario, and also, the founder and principal consultant at Maxhi Services. Provides strategic HR management and leadership to multiple non-profit organizations. Actively involved in the Developmental Services Sector HR Strategy and led many workforce development projects. Involved in the Developmental Services sector implementing HR best practices such as Core Competencies, Leadership Development & Succession Planning, and HR Metrics. Is a well-known leadership coach and is a certified Emotional Intelligence Leadership Trainer using EQi 2.0.Passionate about organizational effectiveness, Leadership development, and implementing succession planning projects with a focus on Equity Diversity, and Inclusion.

Sebastian Rovithis, CHRP
Chair, Chapter Mentorship
Sebastian became a member of HRPA in 2018 and obtained his CHRP designation in 2019. Sebastian joined the local Chapter in the summer of 2018 and quickly became involved with the Mentorship program.
Sebastian graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Specialization in Psychology, and then from Niagara College School of Business obtaining his Graduate Human Resources Certificate. Professionally, Sebastian has been an active member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 10+ years, most recently serving as a Personnel Selection Officer.
Sebastian currently works as a Resource Manager for Amazon Web Services (AWS), covering Latin America, Canada, and the Caribbean.

Lianne Gallie, CHRP, CHRL
Chair, Chapter Student Liaison
With over twenty-five years of experience working in the Human Resources field holding progressively more challenging positions from Human Resources Administrator to Human Resources Manager, Lianne is a capable, experienced and well-rounded Human Resources Generalist.
Lianne is a proud teacher at Fanshawe College teaching in the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business with a focus on teaching HR Students. Lianne is passionate about teaching and loves to share her knowledge and experience and aims to ensure that future HR professionals are prepared for success in the field.
Lianne is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) with a Masters in Human Resources, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Human Resources Management Diploma, and a College Teaching Graduate Certificate.
