At HRPA Corporate Social Responsibility means being a good corporate citizen and describes how we operate throughout the organization. The social responsibility mandate focusses on the environmental impact of our operational decisions through sustainability initiatives, and also strives to have a positive social impact on our communities and the communities of our stakeholders and the public.
We aim to achieve this by establishing good relations with all our customers and stakeholders and by ensuring frequent touch points with each, in order to understand their needs. Through open and transparent dialogue we explore how best to fulfil these requirements.
In order to provide fair value, consistent quality and reliability with all of our programs and services across the organization we make decisions based on sustainability and ethical standards. When we endeavour to take on new partners, third-party contractors, speakers and vendors, we commit to selecting only those who share our values of respect, integrity, transparency and accountability.
All of our partners, third-party contractors, speakers and vendors are vetted and reviewed based on these standards. Keeping in mind that we must balance our financial, customer, employee and internal process, programs and projects to ensure that, when undertaken at HRPA, they advance our mission.
As part of our work on Corporate Social Responsibility the Association has established a cross departmental internal team to establish the following:
Screening procedures for any future partners and suppliers
Environmental commitments and sustainable purchasing practices to reduce HRPA’s carbon footprint.
A commitment to philanthropy with a purpose that connects our communities
Better understanding of the customer experience
