For the fifth consecutive year, Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), has been certified as a Great Place to Work® (GPTW®).

Between March 17 to 24, GPTW®, the global authority on workplace culture, anonymously surveyed HRPA employees. As part of the comprehensive review process, the survey evaluated the overall employee experience by measuring several factors including manager quality, overall workplace atmosphere and the pride that employees feel working for HRPA.

“We’re honoured to become Great Place to Work-Certified® for the fifth year in a row,” says Jodi Kovitz, HRPA CEO. “This award is a tremendous reflection of HRPA’s continued dedication to creating a positive workplace – and is a testament to our wonderful employees who consistently live out our corporate values of respect, integrity, transparency, accountability and ethics. We recognize that our people are key to our ability to execute on HRPA’s mandate of advancing the HR profession to protect the public interest.”

As a certified GPTW® workplace, HRPA is continually finding ways to strengthen the cohesion between its organization and its employees. Here are the latest measures that have been introduced at HRPA as a result of this commitment:

  • Implemented Preferred Pronouns policy
  • Reinstated new workplace committees that included the Spirit Council, IDEA Committee and Wellness Committee
  • Revamped the recruitment and selection process to include options on “how to apply” and added a voluntary anonymous census survey for applicants. HRPA also worked with partners in the Indigenous community to review language for inclusivity and bias in job postings.
