You are a member of Canada's largest human resources regulatory association and a vibrant community of more than 23,000 HR professionals and other members with strong HR interests.  Or you are thinking about becoming an HRPA member.

HRPA is an inclusive community. We welcome anyone, anywhere, practicing HR, or with an interest in human resources, or studying to one day become an HR professional.

Your HRPA membership says a lot about you. All members and registrants enjoy the prestige of being regulated professionals which signifies to employers your commitment to professional competence and ethical practice.

Anyone can join

HRPA membership is available to anyone, anywhere, of good character willing to abide by our Rules of Professional Conduct.

Member Services

HRPA provides many services to our members—more than $2 in services for every $1 of membership dues. You can find out more about them here on our website, but they include our Resource Centre's free information and hotline service, best practices, salary survey data, your free subscription to HR Professional, Canada's premier magazine on HR thought leadership and HR trends, special member pricing on hundreds of Professional Development programs including HRPA's Annual Conference and Trade Show, the largest HR conference outside the U.S., the opportunity make a contribution and learn new skills through volunteering; and, of course, big discounts on hundreds of products and services through HRPA's Member Savings program.

Community Experiences

Through our network of 27 chapters serving members locally in communities across Ontario you can participate in the largest HR professional community in Canada, make friends and build your professional network, obtain access to local professional development (a lot of it free), play a leadership role on local boards and committees, and join the over 2,000 members engaged in our mentoring programs either as mentors or as protégés.

Executive Community

HRPA is creating more and more unique and exclusive opportunities for senior executive members to share ideas and network with their peers.  Look for executive events in Professional Development.

Career Planning and Development

Of course a major benefit of membership is the career planning and development opportunities it provides, from the prestige and accelerated career path that accrues through professional certification and regulation*, skills assessment and benchmarking tools and professional development to help grow and expand your capabilities, access to HRPA Edge internship program opportunities, and Hire Authority, Canada's #1 HR job board, exclusively for HRPA members.

* According to compensation experts Payscale Inc., certified HR professionals earn more on average than colleagues without the certification and enjoy a wider set of career opportunities.
