In this highly requested 3-hour session, we will explore the basic tools and skills required to efficiently plan and execute an HR project. Richard Bett will demonstrate how we can incorporate Project Management tools into our daily professional practice.

We will explore differences between project vs program vs portfolio as well as the five project processes that are part of the project life cycle. The project roles and responsibilities will be presented as well as different tools to manage a project. Milestones and stage gates will be discussed as it is an important part of scheduling. Resources, costing, risk, communication, monitoring and project closure will be presented as well. Implementing a new human resources information system (HRIS) will be used as reference throughout the presentation.

The participants will gain the knowledge to start a project, create a project plan as well as a schedule, allocate resources, define a budget and risks and monitor the project progress.
