The HPRA recognizes the importance of mental health and well-being. The following list of external resources is intended to support individuals who may be experiencing stress, distress, or other mental health challenges by providing general information on available mental health services, educational resources, and tools.
The resources collected here are offered by independent organizations and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the HRPA.

Some of the listed resources focus on specific communities or populations — where a specific focus applies, it is noted in the description to help you find the support that best fits your needs and experiences.
Please use these resources in the way that feels most comfortable for you. You know your situation best. Remember that it’s okay to reach out for help even if you’re not sure what kind of support you need.

| Mental Health Commission of Canada’s Mental Health Continuum Self-Check An interactive online tool that provides a visual framework of the signs and indicators of mental health on a continuum of “Healthy” to “Ill.” The tool is not diagnostic but can help people identify when it may be time to seek longer term support. |
