HRPA Central Chapter
The Chapter Council act as ambassadors for the HRPA and the human resources (HR) profession, providing professional development opportunities, arranging networking and social events, hosting HR Power Lunch webinars, and facilitating ad-hoc volunteer opportunities. Chapter events provide members with the opportunity to develop skills and proficiencies, obtain CPD hours and build valuable connections with peers.
Chapter Councils also help promote and support HRPA initiatives such as the HRPA Mentorship Programs, HRPA Online Communities, HRPA Student activities and more. Priscilla Stephen, CHRL
Council Chair
Priscilla Stephen is a highly accomplished and resourceful HR professional with over two decades of success in driving Human Resource strategies, functions, initiatives, and programs for leading healthcare, technology, and business process providers. She is passionate about creating positive people experiences and fostering a culture of strong leadership and empowerment.
In her current and past roles, she has been instrumental in designing new HR programs, establishing best practices, driving culture transformation, ensuring business compliance, and reducing costs in various organizations, including Fortune 500 companies such as IBM, Genpact & WELL Health.
Priscilla is a Certified Human Resource Leader and holds a Master’s degree in PM&IR. She has served on the Board of Directors for the HRPA Toronto Region for the past few years, where she chaired the Programs Committee and provided oversight for over 10 events in the last two years.
Chantelle Yumol, CHRP
Council Vice Chair
Chantelle is an accomplished Human Resources Professional with over 5 years of experience in the public and not-for-profit sectors. As an HR Business Partner at Canada Post, she provides strategic counsel and collaborates with senior leadership on human capital management initiatives. Previously, she led recruitment and talent management at a non-profit, shaping HR strategy, programs, and services.
Chantelle is passionate about HR’s role in driving organizational success and fostering a positive workplace culture built on empowerment. She has served on the HRPA Toronto Chapter’s Student Liaison Committee (Fab 5) for 3 years, shaping student events across colleges and universities. Chantelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Hospitality and Tourism and a Human Resources Management Certificate. Dedicated to giving back, she looks forward to continuing as an advocate and voice for HRPA Toronto Chapter members.
Casey Love
Council Volunteer
Casey is a passionate HR professional with experience in both public and private sectors. She currently works in the Corporate Services Division within the Ministry of Infrastructure for the Province of Ontario, where she applies her skills in HR, administration, and government operations.
Casey holds a Human Resources Management Postgraduate Certificate and certifications in Diversity & Inclusion Fundamentals, Indigenous Allyship, and Behavioral Economics, highlighting her commitment to inclusive workplace practices and integrating behavioral insights into
decision-making.
She joined the HRPA as a student and began volunteering shortly after graduating. Casey has volunteered with the Student Liaison Committee for the past three years. She is dedicated to facilitating networking opportunities for current and future members, helping them connect and grow within the community.
Shermaine Confesor, CHRL, CHRP, CTDP
Council Volunteer
Shermaine has over 20 years of dedicated experience in Human Resources and Training and Development.
Her wealth of experience propels her to work in leaps with the company’s most valuable assets; their people. Her career has been defined by a steadfast commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces, nurturing growth and development of employees, while utilizing the skills she honed as a practitioner of Design Thinking and principles learned through Six-Sigma Green Belt. Her passion for learning and continuous improvement has been the driving force in her work, as she believes learning and the desire to develop are essential to personal and professional success.
Shermaine currently works as an HR Business Partner and Training and Development lead for Fresenius-Kabi Canada, a global pharmaceutical company.
Luyang Wang, CHRP
Council Volunteer
Luyang is a HR professional with hands on experience, including hands-on experience in both private and public sectors, working in unionized and non-unionized environments.
Luyang holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from York University and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resources from the University of Toronto. She has been a loyal member of HRPA since 2019, and in 2023, she earned her Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation from HRPA.
Luyang is passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and she believes in the long-term benefits of investing time and effort in daily support. She is excited to volunteer on the Central Chapter Council, where she looks forward to contributing to the development of professional initiatives, networking opportunities, and supporting the HRPA community as a way to give back to the community.

Proven track record in designing, evaluating and managing Employee Recognition and Wellness programs. Committed to enhancing employee well-being and contributing to the achievement of business objectives through innovative HR solutions. She obtained the Queen’s University Workplace Mental Health Leadership Certificate and DEI Foundations Certificate. In her free time, she is passionate about leading a healthy and mindful lifestyle.
Adekunbi Oluwarotimi, SPHR

Adekunbi is an agile strategic human resources professional with over 10 years experience; specialized in energizing a culture of success by collaborating with managers and leaders on various projects to create an environment where talents thrive.
She has vast experience in organizational development, change management, performance management, talent acquisition, and talent management for fast paced startups and large corporations in various industries. She is result oriented, data driven, people-business centric, a future of work champion and skilled in developing targeted solutions that drive employee engagement, development, and retention.
Adekunbi joined HRPA in 2022 and has served on the Communications Committee. She now looks forward to serving as Central Council member and act as an ambassador for HRPA to support Vision 2027 future initiatives.
