Welcome to the HRPA Central West Chapter
The Chapter Council act as ambassadors for the HRPA and the human resources (HR) profession, providing professional development opportunities, arranging networking and social events, hosting HR Power Lunch webinars, and facilitating ad-hoc volunteer opportunities. Chapter events provide members with the opportunity to develop skills and proficiencies, obtain CPD hours and build valuable connections with peers.
Chapter Councils also help promote and support HRPA initiatives such as the HRPA Mentorship Programs, HRPA Online Communities, HRPA Student activities and more. Anjana Vasudevan, CHRL
Council Chair
I am a result oriented, Certified Human Resource Leader (CHRL) with over 10 years of progressive experience in Human resources. I have earned a Masters Degree in Industrial Relations from Queens University.
I have served on the Board of the HRPA Peel Chapter as Programs Chair and Chair Elect since May 2017. I am currently working at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as a Human Resources Consultant and have served as a part time faculty teaching at Sheridan College for 2 years.
My key strengths lie in strong analytical problem solving, positive behavior and willingness to “learn, share and grow” attitude. Passion for the HR profession, love for the subject is what drives me to grow and contribute to the HR Fraternity.
Rose De Luca, MIR Candidate, BHRM, CHRL
Council Volunteer
Rose is an accomplished Human Resources professional with over 25 years of experience across diverse industries. She holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Labour Relations from Athabasca University, and the Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE) designation with the HRPA.
In her current role as Regional Director of Human Resources at Amica Senior Lifestyles, Rose manages the people strategy and plays a pivotal role in developing and leading national HR programs and policies.
Additionally, Rose is a part-time professor at Durham College, where she shares her expertise by teaching Human Resources courses. Her commitment to education underscores her passion for mentoring the next generation of HR professionals and shaping the future of the field through professional development and student engagement.
Deepak Sharma, Ph.D., CHRP., CTDP., CMBE.
Council Volunteer
Dr. Deepak Sharma is an award-winning mentor, strategic HR leader, certified educator, and EDI steward with over 30 years of experience across military, corporate, and academic sectors. Holding a Ph.D. in Human Resources and multiple professional designations, he is known for fostering cross-functional collaboration, championing diversity, and driving strategic alignment. Dr. Sharma is currently teaching at Wilfrid Laurier University, Algoma University, and Concordia University. He also dedicates his time to mentoring newcomers and professionals through ACCES, TRIEC, I4PL, Fanshawe College, and United Way Toronto.
Viviane Wans, CHRE
Council Volunteer
A bilingual Certified HR Executive (CHRE) with extensive years of experience and responsible for the full HR cycle, with particular focus on employee attraction, retention and development.
Using technology to boost performance and drive efficiency.
Promoting a positive culture of recognition and rewarding top performers, while ensuring that diversity, equity and inclusion is maintained throughout the organization.
Sania Sanzgiri, CHRL, CHRP
Council Volunteer
As a HR Leader with over 15 years of experience, Sania excels in aligning workforce strategy with organizational goals and culture. Her HR expertise spans across Planning and Strategy, Cultural Alignment, Talent Management, Employee Experience & Relations.
With a MBA-HR and CHRL designation, Sania has successfully led various HR transformation projects. Recognized as an Emerging Leader and a Certified Course Leader in past HR roles, she is hands-on, has managed teams, and values collaboration for enhanced communication and productivity.
Since 2020, Sania has volunteered with HRPA West Toronto Chapter in Mentorship committee and co-facilitated sessions on Vision Board. She also volunteers with Swim Canada and was Co-Chair, Parent Council at Peel District School Board.
Sania’s strong character drives her self-development. She is an avid yoga practitioner and passionate dancer, and finds joy in physical well-being and self-expression.
Sarah Searls, CHRP

Sarah is a CHRP professional with a Bachelor of Business Administration (specializing in Law & Justice) and a graduate certificate in HRM, Sarah combines academic rigor with real-world impact. Her experience spans corporate HR consulting, recruitment, and training, with a proven track record at organizations like Bell Canada and Joe Johnson Equipment.
Driven by a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, Sarah is passionate about building cultures where people thrive. She’s not afraid of tough conversations and consistently seeks out opportunities to elevate HR practices and organizational performance.
With a keen eye for talent and organizational dynamics, Sarah is dedicated to helping businesses grow through their people. Whether she’s designing performance management systems, advising on compensation structures, or leading change initiatives, Sarah brings empathy, precision, and a relentless drive for excellence.
Kiran Patel, CHRP, CHRL

Kiran Patel, CHRP, CHRL is an accomplished Human Resources professional with over 15 years of progressive experience across private and public sectors. She holds a BA Honours in Psychology from York University and an Honours Certificate in Human Resources Management from Humber College. Currently an HR Advisor at the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Kiran supports her client groups, providing expertise in employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and leadership development. Known for her ability to build trusted partnerships, she offers sound guidance on policy interpretation, collective agreement compliance, and complex workplace investigations. She also leads initiatives in change management, diversity, and employee engagement to foster inclusive, future-focused workplaces. A certified CHRP and CHRL, Kiran is committed to lifelong learning and advancing people strategies that drive organizational success.
