Toronto: 05.09.19 - Speed Mentoring
This Mentorship Program’s event will be a unique take on Speed Mentoring. After a brief icebreaker, the host will review the structure of the event and outline each activity. Participants will get a chance to speak with at least 4 different mentors in structured manner and have one-on-one discussions with participants throughout the event.
The focus areas of the 5 guided activities are as follows:
- Conversation 1: Getting the Most Out of Networking Events
- Conversation 2: Career Development
- Conversation 3: Job Hunting
- Conversation 4: Managing Competing Priorities
- Conversation 5: Free Question Period
Participants will be walked through each activity by the host. Each activity will feature different handouts, scripted questions for discussions, and take-away ‘action items’. Mentors will provide advice, feedback, and tips on the topic at hand, demonstrating their experience as a job seeker and as a hiring manager. Mentees will break into pair work to discuss various topics and share their experiences. The structure will allow for meaningful discussions between Mentors and Mentees.
This event will provide a unique opportunity for participants to gain valuable insight and build mentorship relationships with other HR professionals.
