Volunteering

Volunteering at HRPA is a rewarding membership experience and volunteers are critical to the association’s continued success.

With the expertise and involvement of members, we create awareness of workplace issues, promote excellence in human resources management practices and provide services that support the HR community, knowledge-sharing and continuous professional development.

HRPA members and students are involved in a variety of volunteer service opportunities including:

Hannah Barkley

Chapter Past Chair

Hannah Barkley is currently the Director of HR Operations at Ross Video headquartered in Iroquois. She has been with Ross Video for the past 20 years and has been an integral part of the growth from 70 to 770 employees. Her current role focuses on international compliance, payroll, benefits, health & safety, immigration and HR technology. With Ross Videos growing international presence, Hannah is often learning how HR works in many different countries around the world.

Hannah is an active leader within Girl Guides of Canada with a Spark, Brownie and Guide unit meeting in South Dundas. Hannah graduated from Bishop’s University in 1999 with a BBA, concentration in HR, minor in Music and completed her MBA at Queen’s University in 2010. Hannah rejoined the Cornwall Chapter Executive in June of 2010.

Chair, Chapter Programs/Professional Development Committee

Morgan currently works for Community Living Dundas County (CLDC) as the Human Resource Generalist. She has been with CLDC for the past three years. Morgan graduated from Lakehead University in 2015 with a degree in HBComm and a specialization in Human Resources Management and Industrial Relations. She is currently working towards her CHRP designation.

Jeff Walmsley

Chapter Chair at Large

Jeff holds an M.B.A. from Clarkson University and has been the Corporate Services Manager of Seaway Valley Community Health Centre since 2013. He has 20 years experience working in finance, technology and health care settings.  For several years he worked for UPS, one of the largest shipment and logistics companies in the world at their headquarters in Sandy Spring, Georgia.

In February 2020, Jeff was granted the designation of Certified Human Resource Leader (CHRL). A lifelong learner he has received two certifications from the Canadian Payroll Association (PCP and CPM) and a certification from the Project Management Institute (PMP).

Jessica Kozlowski

Chapter Secretary/Treasurer

Jessica is currently the Human Resources Business Partner at Morbern Inc

After graduating from college with a diploma in General Business, she began her HR journey as a Corporate Trainer for a large financial organization in. Jessica worked for over 4 years and Following her work experience as a Corporate Trainer she and. While attending school she joined a large manufacturing organization as an HR Assistant, she was exposed to many different HR functions such as recruiting, payroll, training, employee relations, health and safety, etc. Her next career move was a much larger role as the HR administrator for a small, family-owned and operated company.

Jessica is a passionate and outgoing HR professional who loves a new challenge!
