About the Competition
HRPA Toronto Chapter is pleased to be hosting its first HR Case Competition geared at enthusiastic HR students with a passion in utilizing their strategic knowledge. The competition is intended to provide a learning experience for HR students that will inspire healthy competition, professionalism and competence by our future HR leaders. The competition is organized by the Student Affairs Committee of the Toronto Chapter
1. The Competition
This one-day event is a great opportunity for students to apply what they have learned in the classroom to a real life situation. In addition, they will have the opportunity to utilize and further develop their problem solving, critical thinking, and presentation skills while demonstrating their business acumen through analyzing, assessing, and decision making.
The competition is open to students in their last year of an undergraduate, masters or postgraduate HR program graduating by or before June 2017.
The student Affairs Committee will be announcing the case competition date to schools on January 16, 2017. Application Deadline for the universities and colleges to submit their five participants will be on February 24, 2017.
4. The Team Selection
Each school is responsible for choosing five students they believe to be most suitable to compete in the HR Case Competition. There are seven teams participating from colleges, universities and students postgraduate HR programs across Toronto.
All schools are required to give the name of school, mailing address, Liaisons' full name and email address. You will also need to list all five of your participants full names and email addresses. Once you download the registration form you can send it directly to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Judges will be members of the HR community selected by the Student Affairs Committee. Judges will be senior professionals with significant and relevant business and HR management experience.
