HRPA’s Annual HR Case Competition
Hosted by Toronto Chapter

About the Competition

HRPA is pleased to announce the 2019 HR Case Competition, hosted by Toronto Chapter. The Case Competition is for enthusiastic students who want to flex their HR knowledge by applying it to real HR scenarios. Through healthy competition, students will grow as professionals and build best-in-class HR competencies. This year’s event is organized by Toronto Chapter’s Student Affairs Committee.


HRPA held its first Annual HR Student Case Competition on Saturday, March 23rd, hosted by the Toronto Chapter at George Brown College.  The Case Competition brought together enthusiastic students who flexed their knowledge by applying it to real scenarios brought forward from the following eight Ontario Universities and Colleges: Centennial College, George Brown College, McMaster University, Ryerson, Seneca College, Sheridan College, University of Windsor, and Wilfred Laurier University. 

 

 

 



We would like to congratulate all of the following 2019 HR Student Case Competition winners:

1st place: University of Windsor 

Represented by: Emily Katherine Teetzel, Samantha Marasco de Man, Lindsay Ye and Rashed Bin Najib. Congratulations on this great achievement!  

2nd place: Wilfred Laurier University

Represented by: Dina Gjaferi, Shaylyn Keyes, Marnie McCormac, Julie Ya, and Anakin (Yu-Le) Zhou.

3rd place: Centennial College

Represented by: Levie Marilao, Patrick Jeanes, Maria Dyan Jennica Camanag, Shermaine Confesor, and Ha Chan Nhu (Naomi) Troung. 

Thank you to all students, faculty and volunteers that participated and made this an engaging, educational, and a successful event. We look forward to many more ahead!

Deadlines

Application Deadline for the universities and colleges is Friday, Feb. 15.

The Team Selection

Each school is responsible for choosing five students they believe to be most suitable to compete in the HR Case Competition. There are seven teams participating from colleges, universities and students postgraduate HR programs across Toronto.​​
