Joyce Benninger, CHRL - Chapter President
My name is Joyce Benninger and I have been a member of the Grey Bruce HRPA Chapter Executive since 2004. I have held the positions of Communications Director, Secretary, Vice President and President.
I have worked for the Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board since 1988 and am currently in the role of Supervisor of Health and Safety. Over my time here as a member of the Board’s HR department I have had payroll & benefit responsibilities as well. Currently I volunteer with the Workplace Safety and Prevention Services making safety presentations to young workers. I live in Hanover with my husband and our two cats.
By being involved with the HRPA, I have had many opportunities to meet people from other organizations and appreciate the value of the networking opportunities our Chapter provides. I look forward to seeing our members at our upcoming events and hope each of them finds belonging to the Grey Bruce HRPA as rewarding as I do.
Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself. I live in Durham, am married withy two grown daughters, two grandsons and one granddaughter. In 2006, I returned to school for part-time evening courses at Georgian College in Owen Sound in the Human Resource Management Program and I received the CHRP designation in May 2009. In November of 2014, I was granted the CHRL designation.
I am presently employed at the South Bruce Grey Regional Health Centre as a multi service worker. I have past work experience in the service industry, manufacturing and retail.
I am proud to be a member of HRPA as well as a member of the Executive Commitee of the Grey Bruce HRPA. I have been a director for two years and at present I am Sectretary for the second term. Volunteering with my assiciation has given me the oppourtunity to work with some great people to behefit our local chapter. I have enjoyed attending the HRPA Annual Conference for the past six years. For two years I was a volunteer at the Annual Conference office where I met many people who were working very hard to make out association as great as it is. Volunteering has been a great learning experience for me.

Jason Hemstock, CHRL - Treasurer
Born and raised in Bruce County, I am fortunate enough to have remained living in my home town of Tara with my wife and two daughters. My diploma in business and many of the human resource courses I took were with Georgian College - Owen Sound Campus so Grey and Bruce County is definitely home to me . Immediately after finishing college, I started working at Best Western Inn on the Bay in Owen Sound as an Accountant while assisting the General Manager with Human Resource duties. Remaining with this organization has paid off as I currently fill the role as General Manager. I obtained my CHRL in 2009 and continued in hospitality gaining my CHA designation in 2014. My love for working with people has kept me in this industry were there is never a dull moment. I attribute the success of the Best Western Inn on the Bay to the employees and I know it was my human resources background that helped me to build this team. I can often be found working along side the staff members somewhere inside the hotel. I love where I live and I enjoy what I do for a living. One could not ask for much more.
