HRPA’s Online Academic Program provides the academic courses required for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in a convenient, online format.
HRPA's online courses are available to anyone, anywhere, for convenient learning via your computer. These classes are completely online versions of HRPA's popular Evening Academic Program courses and contain extensive multimedia lectures available 24 x 7 with downloadable PowerPoint, progress quizzes, and a discussion board where you will post answers to assignments, ask questions of your instructor and interact with other learners.
The Online Academic Program courses are identical to HRPA’s long-running Evening Academic Program (EAP) and include required CHRP academic courses in:

The Online Academic Program course schedule mirrors the EAP’s three-semester schedule, with semesters beginning in the fall (September to December), winter (January to April) and spring (May to August). All 9 courses are now offered.

Fees
HRPA course fees for individual courses is $375.00 + hst.
(Note: you do not need to be a member with HRPA to take online courses)

Textbooks
Textbooks must be purchased and are not included in the course fees. Textooks can be purchased from the publishers directly or from college or university bookstores. Instructions on how to purchase textbooks and applicable weblinks are provided as part of the course outline and are available when you register for the course. You will need to have purchased the required textbooks and/or reference material prior to the start of class.
Education records
HRPA maintains an online education record for members only. Upon joining the association, original grade letters for course credits previously earned must be submitted to HRPA for inclusion in the online records.
Program entry requirements
There is no English proficiency requirement needed to register for courses in the Online Academic Program, however, to ensure success in the courses, it is strongly recommended that course registrants have both verbal and written proficiency at the post-secondary level.
HRPA does not require prerequisite courses to be completed before registering in any of the Online Academic Program courses. Courses can be completed in any order and do not have to be completed solely at HRPA. HRPA is not a degree-granting institution and, as a result, there is no application process for entering the program. Individuals may simply register for courses as they wish and entry is subject to course availability only.
It is recommended that individuals registering for finance and managerial accounting, have at very least, a basic understanding of accounting concepts to ensure success in the course.
Course withdrawal and refund policy
All requests to withdraw from a course must be sent in writing to the Office of the Registrar.
