Required Professional Capabilities (RPCs)
The Required Professional Capabilities form the test specifications for the national examinations. All exam writers are encouraged to review the RPCs for the exam in advance of developing their study plans.

Formal preparation courses for the NKE exam may include the following:
- HRPA Chapter sponsored workshops: For information about locations and workshop dates, you will need to contact your HRPA Chapter representative.
- HRPA’s NKE preparation product called HRwrx: This product is currently under going maintenance and is shut down. The product will re-launch in early jan 2011. To purchase and access the product use the link www.hrwrx.com.
- Preparation courses provided by outside vendors: These courses, workshops and products are offered privately through organizations that are not affiliated with HRPA. For information about these products, you will need to contact the providers directly.
