The Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the HRPA York Region is pleased to announce that the membesrhip has selected the Canadian Breask Cancer Foundation as our charity of choice for 2012. In support of this meaningful charity, the purpose of this is to recach out to you and find the level of interest you may have in joining fellow members in the CIBC Run for the Cure, Canada's larges single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising finds for breast cancer.
For the last 26 years, the Canadaina Breast Cancer Foundation has been at the forefront of a natoin-wide movement to raise awareness and mobilize action on breast cancer. Today, the Foundation is the leading organization in Canada dedicated to creating a future without breast cancer. Since 1986, from coast to coast, we have invested over $248 million to find vital research and community health grants that have led to progress in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care.
Here are the things to know:
Date: Sunday September 30, 2012
Location: Richmond Green High School, 1 William F. Bell Parkway, Richmond Hill, ON
Cost: $40 participation fee or a minimum of $150 fundraised
Run/Walk: 1K or 5K
Why participate: It’s a fun way to get involved in a great cause, and your funds will be helping support breast cancer research, education and awareness programs.
