Scholarship

HRPA Ottawa offers scholarships to HR students at both Carleton University and University of Ottawa.

Recipients of the scholarship not only receive a $1,000 scholarship and recognition through the HRPA Ottawa community, but also:

• A gift certificate to attend three (3) Dinner Meetings and the HRPA Ottawa Chapter Annual General Meeting. Both events feature great speakers, networking opportunities, and a full meal.
• One (1) year full membership to HRPA.

To be eligible, please refer to the guidelines below. Full details are available through your school’s Career Centre and/or Financial Aid office:

1. Registered on a full-time basis in 3rd or 4th year of study in the Bachelor of Commerce, Option in Human Resource Management/Managing People and Organizations;
2. Ontario resident, as per OSAP rules;
3. Demonstrated financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid office;
4. Demonstrate an active interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources;
5. Demonstrate that he/she has volunteered or is volunteering in HR and/or broader community related activities, including on-campus;
6. Preference will be given to individuals who are current or past members of the HRPA, Ottawa Chapter.
