Newly Expanded Mentoring Program!

This year, the Mentoring Program has expanded to offer a variety of mentoring relationships at all stages of your career – whether you are a student or just considering a career in HR, if you are in your first HR position, or if you are a senior HR professional interested in working towards an executive or more specialized role.

Regardless of your current situation, if you are a Human Resources Professional seeking an opportunity to learn new skills or strengthen your current skills, the HRPA Mentoring Program offers an excellent way to meet this need.  For those interested in acting as mentors, the program provides a real sense of satisfaction, knowing that you have contributed to the development of a colleague and helped strengthen the Ottawa Human Resources community. Both Protégés and Mentors will earn recertification points.

Interested parties apply online before NOON on Thursday September 22 at:

Protégés are HRPA members in good standing working toward the CHRP designation.

Mentors are HRPA members in good standing with their CHRP, and have practiced in the Human Resources field for at least four years.

Participants commit to meet at least once a month and each pair must attend one HRPA Ottawa Chapter event together before the end of the term, May 31, 2011.

HOLD THE DATE! This year’s Mentoring Program will officially launch with an information and networking event at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the GCTC Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre, 1233 Wellington Street West.

Participants will be notified of their match on or before September 30, 2011 so they can connect at our official Mentoring Program launch on October 4, 2011 and, if possible, attend the NetNight 2011 event together on November 8, 2011.  This event tends to sell out, so you may wish to purchase your ticket in advance.
