HRPANO Post-Secondary Award HRPANO offers awards to students at both Lakehead University and Confederation College.
Eligibility
- To be eligible to apply for the Award, an individual must be enrolled (either part-time or full-time) at one of the above noted Institutions.
- To be considered for the Award, a student must submit their completed application form accompanied by their resumé and a covering letter which clearly address the criteria.
Criteria
The Award made available annually to a student at each institution shall be granted on the basis of the following criteria:
i) demonstrated completion of Human Resources related course-work with an overall B average;
ii) work or volunteer experience demonstrating competencies related to the Human Resources field
Lakehead University Human Resources Professionals Association of Northwestern Ontario Award - Full Time or Part Time In-Course Students
Two year membership (approximate value $250)
A two-year membership in the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) including the Human Resources Professionals Association of Northwestern Ontario (HRPANO) to be awarded to a student entering the third year of the Bachelor of Administration degree program or entering the third or fourth year of the Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree program, majoring or specializing in Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations. Applications available via the Financial Aid Office. The application is available late January to mid April of each year with student notification in July and awarded in September of that year. If unawarded, the application is again available from early October to mid November with student notification in December.

Confederation College Human Resources Professionals Association of Northwestern Ontario Award - Full Time or Part Time In-Course Students
Two Year Membership (approximate value $250)
A two-year membership in the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) including the Human Resources Professionals Association of Northwestern Ontario (HRPANO) to be awarded to a second year Human Resources student who plans to enter the third year of the Business Administration Human Resources diploma program. Applications available via the Confederation College Financial Aid Office. The application is available from the middle of October until the first week of December. The successful student applicant will receive notification of the award in February of the following year.
