Is there a place on the HRPA web site where I can advertise a job opening?
Yes! The official career site of the Human Resources Professionals Association, The Hire Authority is your best source for accessing HRPA's 16,000 members including a resume database of over 6,000 resumes. Advance functionality includes automatic candidate pre-screening and sorting. The Hire Authority can be found under Careers on the HRPA web site.
I am not a member of HRPA, can I post a job on the Hire Authority job board?
Yes! You do not need to be a member of HRPA to post a position on the Hire Authority. The site is open to all employers who are looking to connect with qualified human resources professionals.
How much does it cost to post a job on the Hire Authority?
The cost for a single 30-day job posting is $425.00 (non-HRPA members) and $318.75 (HRPA members). Job postings packages are also available for increased savings and postings do not expire. Visit our Pricing Page for more details.

MEMBERSHIP
Which category of membership do I fall under?
General, Practitioner, Part-Time Student or Full-Time Student- definitions are all found on membership application – available on Website and hard copy.
How much does it cost to become a member?
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY AND DUES*:
- Practitioner $375.28 + $GST (Prorated June-May)
- Part-time Student $375.28 + $GST (Prorated June-May)
- Full-time Student $187.64 + $GST (Prorated June-May)
- General $437.82 + $GST (Prorated June-May)
* All dues include HRPA dues, administration and 1st year Chapter dues. Fees are prorated throughout the membership year by month. GST is applicable on all dues and fees. HRPA’s membership year begins June 1st and ends on May 31st
Which Chapter do I belong to?
You determine your Chapter based on where you work, live or attend educational institution.
Note – the default Chapter is Toronto.

Do I have to belong to a Chapter?
Yes, HRPA by laws require that members residing in Ontario belong to a Chapter.
How do I sign up for membership and what is the process involved?
You need to complete a membership application and submit it with necessary documentation and payment to HRPA. The application may be completed online or printed off and faxed or mailed in. It will take approximately 2 weeks from receipt of application to complete processing. A confirmation package including your membership details will then be mailed.
I am a member and forgot my password to access the Web site. How do I get my password?
You need to go to www.hrpa.ca, click on Forgot Password on the left side of the screen. Enter your Member ID # followed by your last name, then click continue. The system will then allow you to reset your password.
The forgot password link does not recognize my ID or Last Name and I cannot reset my own password. What do I do?
Please e-mail us at membership@hrpa.ca or call the membership team at 416-923-2324 / 1-800-387-1311. We will then reset your password for you.

CERTIFICATION
What is the CHRP?
The CHRP - Certified Human Resources Professional is a a designation which is granted by HRPA in accordance with the Human Resources Professionals Act of Ontario, 1990. The CHRP designation is a warrant of competence - it warrants that an individual has acquired the requisit knowledge and capability to perform at a professional level in Human Resources. It also signifies that an individual has made a commitment to on-going development and a commitment to abide by the professions Code of Ethics. More Information
