  1. Sign up for Career GPS and fill out your profile in full.
  2. Benchmark your current ability in 85 HR competencies found in eight human resource domains, including: HR Leadership, Performance and Rewards, Learning and Talent Development, Employee Relations, Organization Design and Development, Leadership Development and Organizational Culture, Occupational Health and Safety, Function Management.
  3. Map the expected levels of HR competence of your current job and compare the results to your current ability.
  4. Register for the HRPA 2013 Annual Conference professional development sessions that will best increase your effectiveness in any competency you choose.
