ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Diana Matwichuk has straddled the two disciplines of HR and IT throughout her career. A graduate of the University of Waterloo in cooperative mathematics, Diana has used the analytical skills honed in that program to assist organizations in meeting their HRIS needs. Realizing that a key ingredient to client support is understanding their business and speaking their language, Diana has also achieved the CHRP designation.
Diana’s IT career has progressed through programming, systems analysis, IT audit and strategic systems planning roles—predominantly within the HR, payroll and finance arenas. This has provided her with a specialization in software integration and reporting as well as HR business process optimization and an understanding of the changing needs of the HR professional. As an implementation specialist at Avanti Software, Diana successfully implemented and trained a wide range of HR and payroll clients, from 50 to 3,000 employees, with both centralized and decentralized HR departments. Her past experience has included work with Alberta Natural Gas, CP Rail, Ernst & Young, CompassGuides Publications, Campbell Soup, Royal Bank of Canada and IBM Canada. Diana wrote numerous HRIS-related articles for Avanti’s HR Advisor publication and industry periodicals. Currently at Superior Propane, Diana is implementing, optimizing and leveraging the total HRIS solution comprised of multiple software products.
