Sustainability is integral to everything we do at HRPA, from strategy development by our board and management to “green” improvements initiated by our staff and chapters.

The HRPA 2011 Annual Conference & Trade Show is a key part of our sustainability drive. In 2011, we continue to build on the success of our zero-waste Annual Conference & Trade Show held in 2010

Sustainable Suppliers

Our sustainability efforts extend to our supplier/vendor relationships. We try hard to work with suppliers who not only offer competitive pricing, service and quality, but who also implement environmental initiatives, respect human rights and employ people from diverse backgrounds. We ask all HRPA suppliers to help us meet our sustainability commitments by thinking green in providing their products and services.

This means sourcing sustainable suppliers and vendors throughout the supply chain, using FSC-approved paper stock and vegetable-based inks for print jobs and generally being conscious of the impact our decisions have on the earth. This conference calendar, for instance, is printed using an FSC-certified printer and FSC-certified paper.
