As a Member of HRPA, we invite you to nominate a member who has their CHRP or SHRP designation, to stand for election to the Board of Directors.
Board membership has its privileges. Serving on the Board allows you to help set the agenda for the Association, as well as chart the course for the human resources profession.
Other benefits include:
- The chance to make an impact and assist in the development of the HR profession--provincially, nationally and globally.
- Helping raise the profile of the profession within the workplace.
- A means of maintaining professional competency. Hours spent as a volunteer Board member can be counted toward CHRP recertification.
- Networking and sharing viewpoints with senior and executive-level HR professionals.
Nominees should be aware that elected Board Directors do not “represent” those who elected them. Rather, the election process is a means of selecting respected members of the profession to regulate the profession in the public interest.
Nomination forms must be received at the HRPA Office no later than November 20, 2009.
